A foste rmother has been convicted of child abuse after ramming sticks down childrens throats as a punishment.
A Gloucestershire woman was convicted of 26 charges of child cruelty after numerous counts of ramming sticks down the throats of children as a punishment, among others.
This presents a worrying undercurrent of the type of people that are placed in foster care. What is worrying is that the woman set out to deciee all agencies involved in the investigation spanning 20 years.
"The offences took place in two of Spry's homes in Gloucestershire between 1986 and 2005.
She was found guilty at Bristol Crown Court of a range of charges from unlawful wounding, cruelty to a person under 16, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, perverting the course of justice and witness intimidation
. "
It makes one wonder at the people that are out there, who are placed to care for young people.
Should the process for finding suitable foster parents and carers be more sphisticated and "tighter" on its screening?
