I think that in a way, virtua Tennis probably is the base of all tennis video games ever to come out for a system, well, the 3D ones of course, not the gameboy ones. What I mean is that Virtua Tennis was probably the first real tennis simulator for a console, and ever since then, Tennis games have been made featuring other worlds. Stuff like Mario Tennis. So I think it is pretty much safe to say that the game Mario Tennis is mainly based on Virtua Tennis. One more thing, that photo of the tennis player up in the corner there, that is not a real tennis player. I know, it looks so realistic, but it is a playable character from Sega's Virtua Tennis.
