Longest inking session unofficially set in Timmins, Ontario
A tattooing tag team from Timmins has set an unofficial world record for the longest inking session, ever.
The Timmins Daily Press reported on March 13:
The plan was to have local tattoo artist J.C. Murphy ink Vittorio Arcieri for at least 48 hours straight to break the current record in the Guinness Book of World Records, held by Australians Stephen Grady and Melanie Grievson.
Five nurses, including Estelle Desjardins, are ensuring the duo take the appropriate health and safety precautions.
CTV news has reported that the marathon event wrapped up about 7:30 this morning.
The old record was set by the Australian couple at 43 hours and 50 minutes.
The Timmins team's unofficial record is 45 hours and 35 minutes.
The long, cold winters must do strange things to people's minds.
