It was a great day, and as will all Apple Store openings, everyone was really happy and enthusiastic. What surprised me was getting a prime spot inside the store to take some photos, including the one shown here of the very first customer.

It was a shame there were no really new goodies on offer, apart from the coloured iPod Shuffles. But the store looked great, and if you were in the first 1,000 you could bag a t-shirt.
