In a rare move, homicide investigators have been allowed to reveal the photo of a 14-year-old wanted in the 2nd degree slaying of another teenager
It all happened at a girl's sweet 16 birthday party on Saturday night when adults tried to tell the kids the party was over at midnight. Gunfire erupted and in the end,
a 17-year-old boy is dead
a 28-year-old is still in hospital in critical condition
and 2 other young men have since been released after being wounded.
Now my question is, why did a 14-year-old bring a gun to a birthday party in the first place? I think Carrie, the birthday girl, must be hangjng with the wrong crowd. One thing is certain: she'll never forget this birthday party. Nor will her parents.
Since so many of us live in or around Toronto, keep an eye out for this young suspected murderer and hope someone like him is never invited to your daughter's party.
I also applaud whoever authorized the release of this photo. I think it's time the policy on keeping young offender's identities hidden got revamped. Maybe if it did, so many wouldn't get away with murder only to murder again elsewhere.
