WASHINGTON – January 20, 2022 – (Newswire.com)

The United States Hispanic Business Council (USHBC) announced today the appointment of Cristina Antelo, founder of Ferox Strategies, to its Board of Directors as Legislative Co-Chair.

With 18 years of legislative and advocacy experience, Antelo represents multinational corporations through Washington, D.C.-based lobbying firm Ferox Strategies, which she founded. Antelo began her lobbying career in 2004, representing Fortune 500 clients at top-ranked, bipartisan government and public affairs firms. She has an extensive background representing major retailers, spirits companies, national amusement parks, pharmaceutical firms, and nutrition and wellness companies. Today Ferox Strategies counts among its clients a variety of global corporations including Diageo, Walmart, Eli Lilly, Waste Management, Intuit, Gap Inc., and The Walt Disney Company, to name a few.

Throughout her career, Antelo has served as both a leader and an advocate, promoting communication, ethics, education, and bipartisanship. She is a founding member and former president of the Hispanic Lobbyists Association (HLA) and served as the interim CEO of the non-profit Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute (CHCI). Currently, she serves on the finance committee for the National Multiple Sclerosis Ambassador’s Ball and has raised over $2 million to fund research and program services nationwide. Additionally, Cristina is on the Board of Directors for her alma mater, the Brooks School in North Andover, Massachusetts, and serves as a Director for G Squared Ascend II, Inc.

“Cristina Antelo is one of the most politically savvy operatives in Washington and the USHBC is a stronger and more influential organization because of her tireless advocacy and commitment to our work,” said Don Salazar, USHBC Chairman. “It is thanks to dedicated professionals like Cristina that the voice of the Hispanic business community is being heard by policymakers and those in the halls of power in Washington. We are extremely fortunate to have her in our corner.”

“America’s diverse and vibrant Hispanic business community deserves a powerful, unapologetic and influential voice in Washington to speak to the unique issues that affect our entrepreneurs. In the USHBC, the community now has a strong and aggressive voice willing to do just that,” said Antelo. “I am honored to join the organization as a member of its Board of Directors and Legislative Co-Chair. In our work together, we will endeavor to raise the profile of the Hispanic business community and advance our cause in Washington and nationwide.”
