Phone Doctors created a similar endurance test video during the launch of the Apple iPhone 4S in 2011. The results are dramatically different, primarily due to the construction differences between the iPhone 4S and the iPhone 5.

This is attributed to the metal frame construction of the iPhone 5 versus the plastic frame construction of the S3. The good news is that the iPhone 5 not only stands up better than the S3, but it's also much easier to repair than the iPhone 4 and 4S."
