Open Source Intelligence Presentation featured at Hacker Halted - Hacking Conference, Miami, Florida in October of 2012

>PRWEB.COM Newswire

Albuquerque, NM (PRWEB) August 02, 2012

Mr. Bardin’s presentation will assert that open source intelligence (OSINT) is the only discipline that is both a necessary foundation for effective classified intelligence collection and analysis as well as a full multi-media discipline. Those who attend Mr. Bardin’s presentation will walk away with a better understanding of how the lost art of intelligence tradecraft is reborn through OSINT and cyber intelligence and how it is a mosaic defense practiced as a method of unrestricted warfare.

Mr. Bardin whose expert knowledge has been published in The Illusion of Due Diligence in 2010, The Intelligencer, CSO, and SC Magazine, proclaimed that “America’s enemies scour blogs, forums, chat rooms and personal websites to piece together information used to harm the United States and they target you!”

Mr. Bardin also went on to explain that “Open Source Intelligence is a critical aspect of asymmetric cyber warfare and during this presentation, I will share the common misconceptions that OSINT is for firewalls and IDS. The kind of OSINT I’m talking about ties to cyber espionage and spying and is the future of Cyber.”
