Patrick Patterson’s Literary Collection Crafted with Home-Spun Style
Mt. Hope, WI (PRWEB) July 22, 2012
In today’s modern times, people often complain how complicated life has become. They get so caught up in their hectic schedules that they sometimes forget how it feels like to enjoy the simple things the world has to offer. In Poems For You, Songs To Me, poet-lyricist Patrick Patterson brings one to that peaceful place inside each person’s heart, inviting them to stop and smell the roses, through beautiful rhyme and rhythm.
Poems For You, Songs To Me was born in the winter of 2012, when Patterson decided to write some poems from his heart. “As a singer and songwriter, it comes naturally to me,” he says. “I enjoy writing them.” Appealing to both young and old, each literary piece of his poetry and song collection is crafted with a home-spun style. The entries are simple, but tell a story in rhyme – stories that come from Patterson’s personal experience.
The title of his book, Poems for You, Songs to Me, sums up the flavor of his works. With over a hundred pieces, it covers topics relating to family, seasons, simple living, friendship, love, spirituality, sports, animals, and many others.
Chris Fiedler, activity director of Morningside Assisted Living, says, “Pat’s poetry presentation to our elderly audience-brought back memories that had long been forgotten! His knowledge & experience of past events had our residents remembering fond thoughts of their younger days!”
This book will be featured at the Illinois Library Association Book Exhibit in Peoria, Ill. on October 9-12, 2012 and at the Pennsylvania Library Association Book Exhibit in Gettysburg, Pa. on September 30-October 3, 2012.
