One day in August 2011, author Janet Southall Connell had a life-changing experience. “I would relay the story to friends,” Connell remembers, “and they would say, ‘You should write a book.’ So I jumped right up and got on it – well, not exactly. But I did go to an I Can Do It conference, and then I came home and wrote my book.”
The newly-released book, “Bits & Pieces: A Powerful Extraordinary Continuous Healing Journey.” (published by Balboa Press, April 2012), is now available at booksellers nationwide and tells the story of Connell’s “other dimension experience” (ODE).
“I wrote the book about how my ODE totally changed my view of how things work and how it changed my life for the better,” says Connell. She details her experience:
"About three years ago I was searching for a feel-better place. Among all the modalities I tried, I walked into a Center for Spiritual Living, thinking this might be an answer. At the time it was an unconscious choice, walking this spiritual path, but now it’s a conscious choice. I knew I didn’t like feeling this crazy, and that was a motivator for me, an inertia buster, as I call it. I have had shifts of consciousness, observed different viewpoints and I have totally changed my ideas of how things work."
Connell illustrates in “Bits & Pieces” how she gained an understanding of self and acquired a more restful, peaceful state of mind. “I had a unique healing experience,” she reveals. “I had been having anxiety and panic attacks, and I wound up in the emergency room twice, thinking I was dying because of reaction to drugs. I was so surprised at how the healing actually occurred.”
Connell hopes others will find their own paths towards self-realization by reading her story. Readers will find a deeper understanding of how the world has many dimensions – both seen and unseen. For those searching for a deeper connection to spirit this frank, unique, memoir is the ideal gift.
“I highly recommend this book, it is life changing – and perfectly blends the spirit and our search for truth.”

“I hope to have gifted readers with a glimpse into my world and that they can relate in some way,” says Connell. “I felt my story needed to be told.”
