About Jude Blereau

Jude Blereau is a natural foods chef, author, food coach, cooking teacher and real food activist who has been involved with the organic and wholefoods industry for more than 18 years. She first became involved in the natural food industry while living in the US in the late 1980s, where she was inspired by the work being done in health and nutrition.

In 1997, Jude co-founded The Earth Market, a much loved wholefood store and café in Perth, Western Australia. In 2001 founded the Whole Food Cooking. Her focus is on helping people learn about good food - what it truly is, where to get it, how to use it - and to give them the tools and information they need to make healthy eating a part of their everyday lives.

Jude is a member of Chefs Collaborative; a network of chefs and restaurateurs who work together to promote sustainable farming and fishing, humane animal husbandry and local artisanal cuisine.

Whole Food Cooking

Whole Food Cooking is a broader frame of reference that honors the basic integrity of a food. When a food is grown in a rich and healthy soil using organic, bio dynamic or permaculture principles, is kept closer to its' natural state (unrefined) and real (no fake additives), its' integrity and inherent ability to nourish is intact. Wholefood as a philosophy considers that the whole is far greater than simply the sum of all parts, that it includes many aspects we cannot see or touch (life force for example) and that we are not just physical beings.
