LAS VEGAS, July 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Digital Illusions and Rick Haynes have helped open what is the first nightclub in the U.S. with holographic entertainment. Lolita's Cantina and Tequila Bar, owned by veteran hospitality developer Eric DeBiasi and celebrity chef Carlo Cavallo, is going to change the world of entertainment in Sin City. The grand opening on July 22, 2010 will include red carpet, celebrities and press to see what is going to be a hot ticket in the city of entertainment.
Designing the theater as the centerpiece of the club allows all guests to enjoy the custom holographic entertainment while eating, drinking or dancing. The theater looks like any other stage environment with a hidden trick: Digital Illusions uses state-of-the-art fire retardant polymers and high-definition video to create an illusion second to none. "The hologram truly looks real! It really did make me look twice when I first saw it. I didn't believe the girl wasn't up there!" said one viewer.
Allowing the DJ to have complete control over the content will open up a whole new kind of entertainment. Virtual dancing girls and entertainment at night, mariachis at lunch, and so much more, all mixed with the best DJ entertainment in Las Vegas. Custom software allows the DJ to mix in the holographic audio and video with their own mix seamlessly.
Ann DeVilbiss, Digital Illusions' owner and creative director, says, "This technology really will change business as usual in Las Vegas. Digital Illusions will be creating the content for Lolita's along with Rick Haynes, film director and club developer.
