Chandler Launches Citizen Request App

>PRWEB.COM Newswire

Chandler, Arizona (PRWEB) June 13, 2012

The City of Chandler, Arizona partnered with PublicStuff, an innovative CRM software company, to create a unique and efficient citizen engagement and service request system. In addition to the City’s existing website, citizens can now use mobile applications to report City maintenance issues such as potholes, litter, graffiti, and water violations more directly to the correct City staff member and department. City staff is then able to utilize the backend workflow suite to better manage service requests, communicate back to citizens with status updates, and much more.

The City of Chandler already uses an internal workflow system to handle citizen service requests and more, called Lucity. A major advantage to this solution is that the mobile service automation that PublicStuff provides is seamlessly integrated into the work order system thus requiring no additional staff effort to process the request.

“Chandler already has a strong reputation of being a very transparent organization,” said Mayor Jay Tibshraeny. “This mobile citizen service request application continues to enhance that transparency. With this technology, we are further engaging our citizens and in doing so we are building a better community.”

Citizens can report any service request, in real-time, from anywhere using the mobile app, sms texting, toll free number, or the City’s web portal. With the mobile app, they can also submit pictures along with the service request and add comments. Once a request is submitted, residents can easily track their request, support other requests and receive status updates. Any update made through either the Lucity or PublicStuff system, is then automatically integrated and communicated back to the citizen.

“We were really excited to work with Chandler on this project” stated Lily Liu, founder and CEO of PublicStuff. “It was evident that the City of Chandler was ahead of the curve when it came to meeting constituent needs and further engaging their residents. They are also utilizing our seamless integrations with their backend systems, which will enhance the efficiency in which they’re able to organize and manage service requests.”

The City of Chandler’s service request platform is free and available for immediate use. To access any of services, please visit the following links:
