Priority Energy’s Robert Schildgen to Speak at Chicago Center for Green Technology Event: Making Your Bills and Your Carbon Footprint Smaller
Chicago, IL (PRWEB) May 31, 2012
On Saturday, June 9, Mr. Schildgen, a RESNET and BPI certified energy auditor and owner of Priority Energy, will describe commonly found energy audit results in Chicago area homes. He will also explain how efficiency improvements will enhance the overall comfort, indoor air quality and energy savings homeowners can expect to attain by implementing prescribed solutions. Energy Impact Illinois (EI2) representatives will sponsor this free event for homeowners, entitled “Making your Bills and Your Carbon Footprint Smaller”. Developed to build awareness and to encourage more homeowners to create energy efficient homes, program coordinators will provide information on current incentives and low interest loans that are available for retrofit work.
“We’d also like homeowners to know that energy auditors make sure that a home is a healthy and safe place, in addition to identifying ways they can save energy, ” explains Mr. Schildgen. “Our RESNET and BPI certified auditors analyze indoor air quality and ventilation levels because inadequate ventilation can lead to health problems, such as a build-up of allergy irritants. We also inspect HVAC systems for adequate cooling capacity and check for combustion issues.” Priority Energy consultants perform energy audits and provide efficiency services every day on single and mulit-family homes and townhomes in the Chicagoland area.
Speakers will include Anna Markowski of CNT Energy, Abby Corso of Delta Institute; and Chris Coleman, of MyHomeEQ.
To register for this free event, homeowners should go to the Center for Green Technology events page. The Center for Green Technology is the most comprehensive green design educational resource in the Midwest.
