Santa Fe Greek Festival Friday, June 15th and Saturday, June 16th

St Elias the Prophet Greek Orthodox Church of Santa Fe is hosting the 15th Annual Santa Fe Greek Festival. This year's festival has new dates and a new location--Friday, June 15th and Saturday, June 16th at the Santa Fe Community Convention Center (201 W. Marcy St.) from 11 AM to 9 PM on both days. The festival is featuring all things Greek including food, sweets, live Greek music by the Aegean Sounds and live Greek Dancing. At this year’s festival for the very first time both beer and wine will be served. The festival is a "Featured Event" on Santa Fe visitor guide SantaFe.com.

Several popular Greek dishes are being offered at the festival including gyros, souvlaki (shish-kabob), spanakopita (spinach/cheese pie), dolmades (rolled grape leaves with rice) and much more. Additionally there will be a variety of Greek sweets available including favorite Greek sweets such as baklava, kourabiedes (powdered sugar cookies) and melomakarona (honey cookies with walnuts) as well as Greek coffee.

Another part of the festival being offered is a "Greek Agora" (Greek Import Store) that will be selling Greek gift items as well as canned and bottled Greek foods throughout the festival. Additionally the festival is raffling off several prizes during the event. Interested parties are invited to buy a raffle ticket to take a chance at winning one of the prizes available in the raffle.
