Warfighter Sports Partners with Wash Depot and Sparkling Image

>PRWEB.COM Newswire

Rockville, MD (PRWEB) May 17, 2012

Warfighter Sports, a program of Disabled Sports USA, is proud to announce its continued alliance with Wash Depot Holdings, Inc.& Sparkling Image Corp. to raise monies for its sports rehabilitation programs in military hospitals and communities across the United States. The organization has a nationwide network of over 100 community-based chapters and serves severely wounded service members from the Iraq and Afghanistan conflict and the global war on terrorism.

Wash Depot Holdings, a national car wash company that markets under five car wash brands including Simoniz® and Eager Beaver,® is teaming up with Sparkling Image Corp. of Bakersfield, CA to pledge proceeds from their semi annual wash book promotions. Last year’s programs with Disabled Sports USA raised $65,000.

“We are thrilled to be partnering with them again” states Kirk Bauer, Executive Director of Disabled Sports USA and a disabled Vietnam veteran. “Our wounded warriors are going through a very difficult time. Sudden, traumatic change in physical ability makes service members vulnerable to psychological and emotional, as well as physical trauma. Participation in sports helps them regain their confidence and fitness that will enable them to rebuild their lives.”

Wash Depot’s Director of Marketing, Joseph Solis, echoes Bauer’s enthusiasm. “It’s simply a wonderful program that we are proud to support for a second year. The public can visit any of our car wash or oil change facilities through Father’s Day and we’ll donate proceeds from the sale of wash books and oil change gift certificates.
