Author Encourages Children to Follow their Dreams

>PRWEB.COM Newswire

WEST SAINT PAUL, Minn. (PRWEB) May 14, 2012

“Creative Expressions: Dreaming a Little Dream of Me” (published by AuthorHouse), the new children’s book by Nakesha Lowe, tells the story of a young boy who must decide whether or not to be the person others expect him to be or to follow his true heart’s desire.

“What do you want to be when you grow up?” is a question that most children are used to answering, so when the children in Mrs. Bloomer’s class are given an assignment to stand up in front of the class and talk about what their dream careers are, they come forth with a variety of answers..

As his fellow students take turns giving their presentations, little Bobby gets more and more nervous about what he’s going to say. When it’s finally his turn, he reluctantly makes his way to the front of the class:

“Mrs. Bloomer asked Bobby, ‘What is your biggest dream?’ Then the eyes of everybody in class turned to Bobby. He asked himself, Why is everyone staring at me?

He answered, ‘I just want to be creative, if that’s not asking too much. I like to use my wild imagination to write stories and stuff. My dad says it’s a waste of time and sometimes can be really mean.’”

“I wrote this book for all the little dreamers out there to hopefully inspire them to keep on dreaming,” Lowe writes. “I want all children to know that anything is possible if you stick to a plan.”
