TD Bank Employees and Customers Team Up to Support Special Olympics
Annual "Be a fan™" campaign raises money for Special Olympics chapters from Maine to Florida.

CHERRY HILL, N.J. and PORTLAND, Maine, May 10, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- TD Bank, America's Most Convenient Bank®, will be joined by TD Ameritrade and TD Insurance to support Special Olympics through its annual "Be a fan™" campaign beginning May 14, 2012.

"Our customers and employees have made this campaign a great success every year since 2009, and we look forward to supporting Special Olympics athletes throughout the TD Bank footprint."
The "Be a fan" campaign encourages TD customers and employees to raise funds for their local Special Olympics chapters. Green and white wristbands, featuring TD Bank and Special Olympics logos as well as the "Be a fan" slogan, will be available for $5 each at all TD Bank stores. All proceeds go to Special Olympics.
"The wristbands are a great way for our customers and employees to show their support for Special Olympics," said Brian Haier, Executive Vice President and Head, Regional Retail Banking and Direct Channels for TD Bank. "Last year, more than 168,000 wristbands were purchased, contributing to the more than $1 million raised for Special Olympics chapters from Maine to Florida. With help from our friends at TD Ameritrade and TD Insurance, we aim to surpass that total this year."
TD Bank customers and non-customers can also use Penny Arcade to count and donate their loose change with the standard fee being waived for non-customers.
The "Be a fan" campaign runs from May 14 through June 30, 2012. Funds raised in each state go directly to the respective local Special Olympics chapter.
