MONTREAL, May 10, 2012 /CNW Telbec/ - Carte Blanche for Creatives, the creative contest "by creatives for creatives", announced its 2012
finalists. The finalists' ads are posted online at carteblancheforcreatives.ca.
Carte Blanche for Creatives is a contest which gives creatives the opportunity to design an ad without a brief or restrictions, so they
can take their creative powers to the limit. The creative's themselves
then select the finalists and the winner. In this edition, due to ties,
19 ads have been chosen for the English finalists, while 10 ads have
been selected for the French finalist.
"Once again this year, the creative community surprised us with the
quality of their work. Through their concepts, with only a few words
and an image, the creatives have been able to express the very essence
of advertising" said Astral Out-of-Home Marketing and Media Creativity
Vice-President, Nathalie Doré.
The unveiling of the finalists will be followed by a second round of
vote in order to determine the contest's two Grand Prize winners. The
Grand Prizes of the English contest will be announced May 30th at an event to be held at the Ontario Art Gallery in Toronto, while the
winners of the French contest will be unveiled at the C2MTL event to be
held in Montreal on May 24.
The winning creative team will receive a trip for two to the Cannes
Lions International Advertising Festival, while the winning ads will be
featured in an outdoor campaign on the Astral Outdoor network.
