American Log Home Manufacturer at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Russia

Jim Barna Log & Timber Homes, a well recognized American log home manufacturer started an exciting venture about five years ago by hiring Logdom LLC. as their exclusive international distributor for the Russian Federation. Since then, Logdom LLC., a company with a principle headquarters in Moscow, has built two sales models (360 and 210 square meters living space) in Moscow and St. Petersburg and sold multiple residential units throughout Russia.

The purpose of this American log home development project is to create accommodation and wellness facilities for tourists planning to ski in the Krasnaja Poliana / Rosa Hutor Mountain ski zones in the Winter or to rest at the Black Sea during Summer time. Geographically and conceptually the development project is divided to three phases:

-First phase includes 7 apartment chalets, a restaurant and a sauna fitness complex. It will accommodate up to 50 people.
-Second phase includes 3 VIP villas, and administration building and a wellness zone. The latter will be the main attraction of the area while there is a possibility to include Narzan (local mineral
water) into spa procedures portfolio.
-Third phase features another 12 chalet style houses. The second and third phases offer four-star services for up to 105 clients.

Sochi is the largest resort region of the Russian Federation. It stretches 147 kilometers along the Black Sea coast of the Krasnodar region and also includes the Krasnaya Polyana mountain area.
As it's charming landscapes and scenery are so reminiscent of the Mediterranean, Sochi is often referred to as the "Russian Riviera". Sochi is situated between the Caucasian Mountains and the Black Sea and enjoys the benefits of an extreme Northern subtropical climate. As a result, it's Krasnaya Polyana Mountains have great snow conditions and are largely protected from the wind.

The log home development is located in a National Park area, therefore special attention was paid to environmental protection, landscape preservation and ecology consideration when submitting building permit applications.
