As some have said, in Africa (as in other countries around the world) "soccer is like a religion". To these children, the opportunity to attend this game and watch an African team compete truly is a Dream of a Lifetime.

Lixar held the first annual Soccer Day in 2006 and became involved with SOS Children's Villages through the FIFA 6 for 6 program, which was responsible for building 6 SOS villages throughout South Africa, one of which is located in Rustenburg. Rustenburg has the highest rate of HIV/AIDs in South Africa which means that it also has the most vulnerable children.
Since 2006, Lixar's commitment to support Rustenburg's children has grown. Due to the creation of the Lixar - SOS Family Strengthening Scholarship Program in 2007, over 634 children now have access to school.
The scholarship program reflects Lixar's social commitment to create meaningful change and make a real impact in the lives of others.
