E-Commerce Giant Plumbworld Help With Evesham’s Historic Regal Cinema Re-Launch

>PRWEB.COM Newswire

(PRWEB UK) 20 January 2012

Evesham based Bathroom company Plumbworld are always the first to help out when charity calls and when the Regal Cinema in Plumbworlds home town emailed them to request a helping hand with the toilet blocks, Plumbworld were only too glad to supply everything the Regal needed to complete the build.

If the Regal would have required even bathroom taps (for some strange reason); undoubtedly Plumbworld would have pulled through and supplied them with that and any other various plumbing supplies they required to finish the build.

After several attempts at early ‘flicks’, the Regal Cinema arrived in Port Street in 1932, Evesham; it was the brainchild of local businessman Victor Morral. Evesham’s ‘Theatre of Dreams’ immediately established itself as the peoples cinema, family friendly with low prices. Unfortunately after many years of good use the Regal it closed in 2003 and has been closed ever since, but is now due for a grand reopening on the 21st January this year.

Project Manager for the Regal Laurence Wiper stated:
“It has been a real challenge to revive the Regal, and we hope that all our new, and old visitors will be impressed with what we have achieved. It has taken many years to restore the cinema to its former glory and we really hope that it will once again become the hub of entertainment in Evesham and that many people from the surrounding towns come and join in the enjoyment”

As well as the Cinema it formerly existed as, the Regal has also been transformed into a theatre and venue for music events, stand-up comedy and other stage acts. This being made possible by the huge space available and the ability to remove all the seats on the lower floor, something which was not possible in the original layout. All the mod cons are in, underfloor heating, amazing new cinema chairs which were imported and are of the highest quality. The sound system is not second rate either and is well up to the job of providing the best entertainment for the Regals customers.

Scott Morris, E-Commerce Manager of Plumbworld added:
“We are always happy to help in a project such as the Regal and everyone always says ‘Charity begins at home’ and we believe in that and supporting local projects. We provided the Regal with some top of the range bathroom equipment, toilets, toilet seats and concealed toilet cisterns meaning that visiting the loo will be just as enjoyable as watching a film!”

An early pioneer of online trading, Plumbworld was started by James and Anita Hickman in 1999 and was sold to the Grafton Group PLC in December 2006, Plumbworld now employs more than 50 people in its purpose built warehouse and offices and boasts an astonishing 50+ websites selling everything from a Paslode nail gun and draper tools to barbecues and drain rods. The business has a turnover in excess of £18 million and is growing at more than 20% year on year.
