GATINEAU, QC, Jan. 9, 2012 /CNW/ - The Transportation Safety Board of
Canada (TSB) is assessing two separate overrun incidents that occurred
today.
At 10:23, Pacific Standard Time, a Boeing 737-700 overran the runway in
Fort Nelson, British Columbia. The second incident occurred at 14:07,
Mountain Standard Time, when a Bombardier Challenger 890 rolled off the
end of Runway 34 in Fort MacKay, Alberta.
The TSB will gather information and assess the occurences.
The TSB is an independent agency that investigates marine, pipeline,
railway and aviation transportation occurrences. Its sole aim is the
advancement of transportation safety. It is not the function of the
Board to assign fault or determine civil or criminal liability.
