Swingle Employees Help Prevent Child Abuse in Colorado by Wearing Jeans
Denver, CO (PRWEB) December 02, 2011
Today, Swingle Lawn, Tree and Landscape Care kicked off their “Ask Me About My Jeans” donation drive for Families First, a Denver nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide services that strengthen families, empower parents, nurture children, and end the cycle of child abuse and neglect.
Swingle employees can purchase a monthly pass for $25 or a day pass for $2 that allows them to wear jeans to work. Sales team lapels are adorned with, “Ask Me About My Jeans” badges, designed to encourage clients to inquire about the donation drive.
“We’ve enjoyed a long-standing partnership with Families First,” said Tom Tolkacz, CEO of Swingle. “Swingle has been part of the Colorado community since 1947. We take great pride in being a Colorado company and supporting initiatives that strengthen our community. Supporting Families First and wearing jeans is a win/win in our book.”
Donations will be matched by Swingle and donated to Families First. For years, Swingle’s support of Families First has included lawn, tree, and landscape services and holiday decorating services. In turn, Swingle employees have access to Families First’s free state-wide support line, classes and events. “We are,” said Tolkacz, “unflinching advocates for child abuse prevention. This is the least we can do to help address the problem.”
The “Ask Me About My Jeans” donation drive will run through the month of December. Parties interested in donating to Families First should please contact Swingle or Families First.
