Dr. Deluca serves patients within the Orthopedic Institute of Pennsylvania in Camp Hill, PA where he specializes in minimally invasice hip and spine surgery. Treatments included minimally invasive spine surgery, TOPS motion preservation spine surgery, MAKO robotic assisted total knee replacement, cervical disc replacement, neck surgery, kyphoplasty, anterior total hip replacement, hip arthroscopy, shoulder replacement & arthroscopy, knee arthroscopy & replacement, endoscopic carpal tunnel release, and general fracture treatment. He is affiliated with Holy Spirit Hospital and the PinnacleHealth System. In addition to his extraordinary work at the OIP, Dr. De Luca is the Assistant Director and Assistant Clinical Professor in the Pinnacle Health System. Prior to his successful career as a top orthopedic surgein, Dr. DeLuca was an All–American football player at Franklin and Marshall College where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Physics. His esteemed career in medicine began when he received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, 2002. Through the PinnacleHealth System he completed an internship; and continued on to complete his residency in orthopedic surgery, 2007.
To keep abreast of the latest developments in his field, Dr. DeLuca keeps professional memberships with the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics, the American Osteopathic Association, the North American Spine Society, Pennsylvania Osteopathic Medical Association, and the Pennsylvania Orthopaedic Society.
Dr. Steven DeLuca has been nationally recognized for his expertise and attributes his success to his use of the latest treatments and techniques. In 2007, he was honored with the Bob Green, D.O. Memorial Award by the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He has received numerous clinical teaching awards from UPMC Pinnacle and has been featured in the Leading Physicians of the World Magazine.
In 2017, Dr. Deluca performed the first TOPS™ surgery in the U.S. at UPMC Pinnacle West Shore in Mechanicsburg. He was the third surgeon on the East Coast to perform the Microport bikini incision total hip replacement in February, 2020. He is currently involved in several research projects involving the hip & spine and has given lectures and presented research nationally and internationally on hip and spine surgery.
