Embotics Corporation, a pioneer in virtualization and private cloud management, today announced that it has appointed Cadman Chui to the position of vice president of marketing. Chui has more than 15 years of marketing experience in the technology space, including the leadership of an award-winning marketing team at PlateSpin, which was later acquired by Novell. At Embotics, Chui will establish and manage the overall strategic marketing vision for the company.
“This is a pivotal point for companies that are evolving their data centers to the private cloud, and they need a single software solution that is completely integrated and comprehensive, is easy to deploy, and leverages the use of their existing virtual infrastructure,” said Cadman Chui, Embotics vice president of marketing. “Embotics’ solutions fit perfectly into the needs of IT departments that are increasing their use of cloud-based computing, and I look forward to working with the team to educate the industry on the positive return that comes from having a comprehensive, out-of-the-box private cloud management solution.”
Prior to Chui’s success in leading the PlateSpin marketing team to acquisition, he also held senior marketing positions with a wide range of software technology companies, including Cybermation (now CA Technologies) and DataMirror (now IBM). Chui holds a degree in electrical engineering from the University of Waterloo and a master’s of business administration from the Schulich School of Business.
Jay Litkey, CEO of Embotics, said, “Embotics’ vision is to be the guide for companies accelerating their virtualization and private cloud use, and the tenets of our management solution match up to a market primed to see return on investment in this technology. We continue to add strong industry expertise to our team in order to capitalize on this opportunity, and Chui is no exception.”
Chui’s appointment comes amid Embotics’ recent participation and V-Commander 4.0 demonstrations at VMworld 2011 and VMworld Europe 2011. In addition to experiencing the ease of provisioning, attendees were able to see how V-Commander delivers an integrated service catalog, self-service portal and lifecycle automation for private clouds in less than one hour.
