Most Influential Outsourcing Executives in the Americas Named by Panel of Expert Judges
New York, NY (PRWEB) October 31, 2011
In the midst of accelerating growth in the global services outsourcing industry, Nearshore Americas - one of the world’s premiere online news brands focused on BPO and IT services - has revealed its second annual Top 50 Power Ranking of most influential industry executives.
The 2011 list highlights the 50 professionals who have played a major role in strengthening business-process outsourcing and IT services in the Americas, developing new business, increasing the region's competitiveness, setting the highest standards for service delivery — and ultimately improving the lives of their employees.
At the top of the ranking is David Shpilberg, co-founder and executive vice chairman of CPM Braxis, which is part of France-based Capgemini. Under his leadership, the company has become one of the largest IT providers in Latin America. "It is a great honor for me and one I would like to share with my Braxis founding partners Jair Ribeiro and Rogerio Brecha," Shpilberg said in response to the announcement. "We are true believers in the Nearshore potential of Latin America... I don’t think I have contributed as much as others have, but I am certainly proud of what our 6,500 colleagues have achieved."
"Mr. Shpilberg is an exemplary champion of outsourcing services excellence," said Kirk Laughlin, Founder and Editorial Director of Nearshore Americas. "His dedication not just to his company but to the notion that Latin America has the talent to compete with, and in some cases outperform, India — a notion that some critics said was far-fetched — has played a major role, along with others on the list, in the success the region is experiencing."
Others in the top tier of the Power 50 include Beni Lopez, Chief Globalization Officer at Softtek; Steve Rudderham, VP of Global Transitions at Capgemini BPO; Claudio Muruzabal, CEO of Neoris; Atul Vashistha, Chairman of the Neo Group; Enrique Cortes, Executive Director of Dell Latin America; Marco Stefanini, founder of Stefanini IT Solutions; Henry Manzano, CEO of TCS LatAm; Marc Vollenweider, CEO of Evaluserve; and Maria Clara Choucair, founder of Choucair Testing.
The Power 50 ranking is the outcome of a four-month review and analysis, engineered by Nearshore Americas and a panel of five expert judges. The judging panel included Chris Nuttall, partner at PA Consulting, John Parkinson, SVP at Axis Capital, Nicolo Gligo, industry advisor and former Executive Director of CORFO- USA and Pablo Velasco, leading consultant with TPI. Judging criteria included personal impact on the growth and visibility of outsourcing in the Americas; a history of achievement in business or government; dedication to raising industry standards of excellence; and recognition as an industry thought-leader.
A total of 14 countries are represented in the list including: Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, El Salvador, India, Mexico, Nicaragua, Philippines, Spain, Switzerland and the United States.
