Weight Loss Clinic in South Florida Hires Dr. Kira Fenton
Plantation, FL (PRWEB) October 31, 2011
Dr. G's Weight Loss & Wellness recently hired Dr. Kira Fenton to supervise patients under a medical weight loss program at their Plantation & Hollywood clinics. Dr. Fenton has always been passionate about fighting obesity and Dr. G's medical approach to weight loss made a great fit for what she is trying to accomplish. Dr. G's Weight Loss believes the first step to helping people is giving them a free consultation and body fat analysis, so they know where they stand with their overall health. Once the patient has this knowledge, Dr. Fenton can guide them through their weight loss journey.
Dr. Fenton is a native South Floridian born and raised in Hollywood, Florida. She attended the University of Florida on a full academic scholarship where she was pre-med and also received her Bachelor of Science degree in Business in 2003. In turn, she then attended Nova Southeastern University’s College of Osteopathic Medicine and received her doctorate degree of Osteopathic Medicine in May of 2008. Dr. Fenton found an exceptional gravitation towards Internal Medicine during her pre-doctorate training and was one of 6 students in the country selected for the Internal Medicine residency program at Broward General Medical Center.
Prior to becoming the medical director of the Plantation and Hollywood clinics, Dr. Fenton participated in several pro bono volunteer medical missions to third-world countries in order to offer health care to the indigent populations of Peru, Jamaica, and Costa Rica. She is currently a standing member of the American Society of Bariatric Physicians and American Osteopathic Association.
Dr. Fenton is an extensively trained internist that specializes in medically supervised weight loss. She indecisively believes in a comprehensive physiologic approach to weight loss that results in an unparalleled healthy lifestyle change. Dr. Fenton continues to give her patients indisputable results all while providing her services in a happy, clean, and comfortable patient environment. She takes pride in harnessing all of her diverse medical experiences into a cohesive private practice setting.
The philosophy behind Dr. Fenton's practice stems from her sincere attention to the patient's overall well being, as well as, the pounds they want to shed. If a patient comes in with hypothyroid, high blood pressure or depression, Dr. G's Weight Loss can address all those issues during the patient's monthly visit with Dr. Fenton. When people lose weight, Dr. Fenton knows that many of these other issues will disappear. "Most people find losing weight to be a burden, a gimmick, or just down right intimidating. In the right environment with the proper tools, weight loss can be safe and effective", says Dr. Fenton. She is such a believer in the program that she recently became a co-owner in several Dr. G's franchises with her brother Marc Nudel of Ft. Lauderdale. Dr. Fenton's first franchise will be located in Wellington and is set to open early 2012. She plans on continuing to work at the Plantation and Hollywood locations even after Wellington opens.
Dr. G's Weight Loss of Plantation and Hollywood are sister franchise clinics in South Florida. They offer a doctor-supervised, medical weight loss plan that uses proprietary software to meet individual needs. A full medical evaluation consisting of blood work, EKG, metabolic rate, body composition, and behavioral history is used to create a customized plan for safe and effective weight loss.
