Jimmy John’s Ranks High on Entrepreneur Franchise 500

ATLANTA & CHAMPAIGN – Jimmy John’s, acquired by Inspire Brands, Inc. (“Inspire”) in October 2019, has made the 2020 Entrepreneur Franchise 500 ranking list.

Following years of significant achievements, Jimmy John’s was once again featured in the Entrepreneur Franchise 500 ranking of America’s strongest franchises. Coming in at position #23, Jimmy John’s is one of Americas fastest-growing sandwich chains founded by Jimmy John Liautaud.

Entrepreneur.com has stated that rankings become increasingly competitive, as more and more companies see the value of expansion through franchising opportunities. The rankings are based on evaluations that encompass brand strength (social media, system size, years in business, years franchising), costs and fees (franchise fee, total investment, royalty fees), support (training times, marketing support, operational support, franchisor infrastructure, financing availability, litigation), size and growth (open & operating units, growth rate, closures) and lastly financial strength and stability (franchisor’s audited financial statements).

In response to the coronavirus pandemic and the somewhat staggering American economy, Jimmy John’s has taken it upon themselves to ensure the expansion of its sick leave and pay policy that was initially in place. Jimmy John’s have also successfully managed to lean on its long and authoritative experience with delivery and launched an on-demand bread delivery service to the public.

“Well, with this particular industry, with the restaurant industry, I think that we’re the first ones to be affected. And I think that we’re going to be the last ones that are going to get back to normal,” said Liautaud. “The coronavirus poses a threat to the future of the food service industry which employs more than 15 million Americans.”
