Goke Announces New Patent for Its Data Encryption Technology in US

Goke US Laboratories announced the issuance of US Patent Number 10452871 for "Method and Apparatus for Data Encryption Using Standardized Data Storage and Retrieval Protocol".

Oct. 25, 2019 / PRZen / SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- As the industry's leading provider of SSD controllers and storage solutions, Goke US Laboratories announced the issuance of US Patent Number 10452871 for "Method and Apparatus for Data Encryption Using Standardized Data Storage and Retrieval Protocol".

This patent technology allows a host processor to perform data encryption and decryption operations using a block IO device. Coupling a block IO Device to a host processor not only offloads critical host CPU cycles to the block IO Device; but also allows the host to control the encryption/decryption algorithm as well as control the encryption/decryption key(s) used in the encryption/decryption operations. The host processor can now issue multiple encryption and decryption commands to the block I/O device in accordance with a high-speed data storage and retrieval protocol. The block I/O device performs encryption or decryption on data specified in the buffer of the encryption or decryption command, thus relieving the host processor of performing the encryption and freeing the host processor for other tasks.
