Houston Business-Education Coalition PAC (HBEC) Endorses Juliet Stipeche in Fall HISD Election

The Houston Business-Education Coalition (HBEC) is pleased to announce that it has endorsed Juliet Stipeche in the District 8 Houston Independent School District (HISD) Election.
"We interviewed all candidates and carefully considered responses to a detailed questionnaire," said Jonathan Day, HBEC Pac Chair. "Juliet is an outstanding community leader with a strong record of supporting our public schools. She is committed to improving student academic performance and reducing our unacceptable drop-out rate. HBEC is grateful for her continuing commitment to serve HISD and its students and parents."

About Juliet Stipeche:
Juliet Stipeche is a HISD success story. The daughter of immigrants, she grew up in Houston's East End. She graduated first in her class from the High School for Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice. She then graduated magna cum laude from Rice University and earned her law degree from the University of Texas School of Law.
Juliet continues to live in the East End and practices law with her husband at the Montrose law firm of Nagorny & Stipeche where she specializes in complex civil litigation.
After winning a special election, Juliet joined the HISD School Board in December of 2010. In the short time she has been a trustee Juliet has placed a priority on renewing the public's trust by enhancing HISD's ethics standards; increasing community and parental participation; supporting and preserving successful programs; and strengthening academic curriculum to enhance college and career readiness.
