Washington & Lee University Joins the Growing List of Universities Using the TrekDesk Treadmill Desk

In an interview with WDBJ television Washington & Lee University announced yesterday its current testing of the walking while working concept using TrekDesk Treadmill Desks.
The testing is occurring in three different locations at the university by employees under the supervison of Mary Katherine Snead, Director of W&L Worklife Initiatives and the university’s wellness program.
Cathy McElhannon, a W&L employee commented about the ease of walking and working with the TrekDesk Treadmill Desk, “People say I don’t know how you can do that. I can’t even talk and chew gum at the same time. I don’t even realize I’m walking.”
McElhannon went on to say during the interview that even after using the TrekDesk Treadmill Desks for just a few weeks she already feels healthier. “I’m really anxious to see if I lose weight and I’m hoping to lower my cholesterol too.”
