Phoenix Real Estate Expert Says Home Buyers Should Act Quickly

Flesher Home & Away Realty, a real estate agency based in Phoenix, Arizona, has recently commented on the real property market in the Phoenix metro area, and that families looking to buy a house should act now before prices soar. Much of the current market has grown so quickly that buyers need to move fast based on the recovery of the economy with population growth in the area.

As the capital of Arizona, and as of October of 2017, more than 1.6 million people reside in the city, making it the most populous capital city in the U.S. According to the Phoenix New Times, the city saw the second most growth in population behind San Antonio, Texas, between 2016 and 2017. The biggest factors contributing to that growth, according to experts, were the expanding of the technology and biomedical industries, particularly in the downtown area. Currently, Phoenix is the fifth largest city in the U.S.

As an Arizona native, Flesher is not surprised by the newfound interest in the city. Flesher says potential homeowners should buy now because housing prices in the Phoenix real estate market are rising fast. "In fact, the median price of a house in Phoenix was $254,000 in the second quarter of 2018 alone," he states. "That's a 9% increase from 2017, which is nothing to laugh at, as it's higher than anywhere else in the nation. It's great for sellers, but buyers need to make a decision now before they're completely priced out. Houses are going fast in the area."

Another reason homebuyers should act quickly, Flesher says, is the unique array of home types in the Phoenix area. "Arizona is known for having a mix of architecture and culture, not to mention the wide open spaces of the desert," he says. "Homes with acreage, two-story houses, houses with pools, even under-construction homes are all available in Phoenix."
