Wag Wagon Pet Services Donates Truckload of Supplies to AWS

Nov. 9, 2017 / PRZen / KITTERY POINT, Maine -- In honor of National Adopt A Dog Shelter Month, Wag Wagon Pet Services has sponsored and collected a truckload of supplies, which were donated to The Animal Welfare Society (AWS) located in Kennebunk, ME.

Items collected from Wag Wagon's clients included 1600 pounds dog and cat food, as well as cat litter, peanut butter, dog cookies, dog and cat toys, gently used linens and paper towels.

Wag Wagon owner Tammi Brown said she chose the AWS because it relies on small donations to provide a large part of the shelter's needs. Brown noted, "The AWS staff were so appreciative of Wag Wagon Pet Services for adopting the AWS for its collection drive. They are a very dedicated group of people and worked closely with me during the month of October to keep me aware of the needs of the shelter."

AWS operates an animal shelter and adoption center in West Kennebunk and offers life saving community programs including Pets and Women to Safety, Paws in Stripes, Paws Across America, Humane Education, Behavior and Training classes and an in-house veterinary clinic.
