Jim Herman Attending the 2017 PGA Championship

Award-winning Jim Herman will be playing in the 2017 PGA Championship
CHARLOTTE, NC, August 09, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Professional and award-winning golfer Jim Herman will be attending the 2017 PGA Championship. As a part of the annual PGA Tour, the RBC Canadian Open tournament will feature the highest-ranking pro-golfers. The tournament offers 600 FedExCup points with a purse of $10,500,000.
Jim Herman began playing golf when he was 9 years old and by 12 would play from dawn to dusk. After receiving a generous sponsorship because of his skills, Herman turned pro in 2000. With numerous awards and placements under his belt, he received his first PGD Tour victory in 2016 at the Shell Houston Open. Herman is known from using Presidential dollar gold coins to mark his ball on the green.
The 2017 PGA Championship will be held on August 10th to the 13th at the Quail Hollow Club, located in Charlotte, North Carolina. Quail Hollow Club is a frequent stop for the PGA tour, but this year it its first major. Practice rounds will begin on August 7th. During the Practice Rounds, players are invited to play at their discretion. No advance starting times are available for the Practice Rounds. The Pairings Board will be located near the Main Spectator Entrance and will be continually updated as players begin their rounds from either the 1st or 10th tee.
The first tournament round starting at 7:20AM on August 10th. Championship Round starting times as are considered approximate, and assume that here are no delays, inclement weather, etc. All patron tickets are offered online and can be found here. The PGA Championship's title sponsor is Omega for 2017. PGA TOUR, Champions Tour and Web.com Tour events have donated more than $2 billion to help more than 2,000 charities and countless individuals around the world.
About Jim Herman: Jim Herman is a professional golfer that was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. He played golf in high school and through college at the University of Cincinnati before turning professional in 2000. He played on the Golden Bear Tour from 2001-2004 and the Nationwide Tour from 2008-10 and in 2012. He played in the US open in 2010 and the PGA Tour in 2011. In April of 2016, Herman received his first victory at the Shell Houston Open in the PGA Tour. This opened up invitations to participate in the Master's Tournament, PGA Championships, and Open Championship.
