Top Canadian CEOs determine national champions at annual competition

Top post-secondary teams and entrepreneurs in Canada named at 2010 ACE National Exposition

CALGARY, May 13 /CNW/ - The 2010 ACE National Exposition was held in Calgary from May 10 to 12, 2010. Close to 1,000 delegates including the country's brightest university and college students, academic professionals and top Canadian CEOs took part in this annual gathering that effectively engages a variety of business leaders around the shared cause of building a better Canada.

Throughout the three-day event, post-secondary students from over 40 universities and colleges across Canada competed for prestigious national champion titles by showcasing their economic outreach projects and business venture achievements to judging panels composed of top Canadian executives.

After two days of intense competition, the following national champions have been named for 2010:

Students In Free Enterprise (SIFE) National Champion - Ryerson University

Student Entrepreneur National Champion - Vincent Cheung, University of Toronto

HSBC SIFE Financial Education Challenge National Champion - Ryerson University

TD SIFE Entrepreneurship Challenge National Champion - Niagara College

Scotiabank & SIFE Go Green Challenge National Champion - Okanagan College

SIFE RBC Blue Water Challenge National Champion - Acadia University

Let's Can Hunger National Champion - Okanagan College

The Students in Free Enterprise National Champion will proceed to represent Canada at the SIFE World Cup taking place in Los Angeles California this October.
