Jease, the Popular Java CMS with EASE has Launched Version 2.0
Hannover, Germany (PRWEB) April 29, 2011
Jease is a ZK Framework based open-source Content-Management-System created by Maik Jablonski which is driven by the power of Java. Jease means "Java with Ease", so Jease promises to keep simple things simple and hard things (j)easy.
Jease 2.0 is a big leap forward transforming Jease into a full-featured Content-Management-System. It started as Content-Management-Framework with a simple example CMS on top of it two years ago. Over the time Jease matured more and more into a feature-rich Content-Management-System while preserving ease of use, customization and maintainability.
The main theme for the 2.0 release line is to continue the journey from a developer oriented Content-Management-Framework to a user-friendly Content-Management-System which makes publishing content as easy as possible. Jease targets Java web developers who want to get things getting done without any headaches.
New features include:
You can now preview all changes without the need to save them beforehand. This works by storing a copy of the current content object in the session and rendering it when present. This will reduce the number of stored revisions for minor changes. Additionally this enables switching revisions and previewing of them without the need to re-save.
In order to check the validity of external links, a link checker is included. It is possible to change broken links directly using the link checker, hence keeping your site in a healthy state is much easier.
Jease allows you to create complex redirect rules based on the power of Java regular expressions through the administration interface. The redirection service is very efficient, so it is not necessary to configure any redirection rules in your web server.
“Jease is an excellent content management system which we are proud to say is based on the ZK Framework” said Tom Yeh, creator of ZK, “It is projects like Jease which make creating a framework such as ZK worthwhile.”
