“Patricio is, without a doubt, an innovator and one of the best content creators in media,” said Randy Falco, president and CEO of UCI. “As we continue to grow UniMás as one of the leading Spanish-language broadcast networks, we are pleased to join forces with Patricio to continue to innovate and bring our audience the best in alternative formats and stories.”

In addition, Wills is the executive producer of “La Viuda Negra II” (Black Widow II), which begins airing this Sunday, February 28th at 10 p.m. ET/PT (9 p.m. CT) with a world premiere simulcast on Univision, UniMás and Galavisión networks, as well as on Univision Digital platforms.

“We are in the right place, at the right time and with the right partner. The Hispanic U.S. market, Univision and now! Nothing beats that!” added Patricio Wills.

Wills, a media industry veteran with more than 30 years of production experience internationally, is one of the creators of the modern scripted action series in Spanish. He was the force behind the hit productions of “La Viuda Negra” (Black Widow), “La Reina del Sur” (Queen of the South) and “Zorro” among many others, in both the U.S. and Latin America. Throughout his career he has worked closely with the best writers, producers and talent of our industry. He has also collaborated with many of Latin America’s most important writers, including Nobel Prize winners Gabriel García Márquez and Mario Vargas Llosa, in the development of television series. Prior to leading this new joint venture, Wills was CEO and partner of Producciones RTI in Colombia, one of the world’s leading independent production studios for Spanish-language content; and creator and President of Telemundo Studios.

The company will be based in Miami. Its first project is expected to air in October.
