Meetings Quest Learning Labs to Focus on Technology and Legal Issues Confronting Meeting Planners

Sessions facilitated by Steven Hacker will include technology innovators and the nation's foremost expert on meetings law

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 7, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Meetings Quest, the nation's longest-running series of educational and networking events for association and corporate meeting planners, will offer incomparable educational programming for meeting planners and meetings industry suppliers when it's held September 9–10 in Cabarrus County, North Carolina.

On Wednesday, September 10, Meetings Quest, which is hosted by the Cabarrus County Convention & Visitors Bureau, will feature a morning of exclusive and innovative meetings-industry Learning Labs facilitated by Steven Hacker. Hacker is the former president of the International Association of Exhibitions and Events and currently serves as the "Association Doctor" columnist for Association News magazine.

In the first Learning Lab, Hacker will be facilitating a session titled "Beyond the Leading Edge," on meeting-planning and mobile technology. The second Learning Lab, titled "The Realities of Legalities," will feature attorney John S. Foster, one the nation's preeminent experts on meetings-industry law. Foster will provide Meetings Quest attendees with ways to protect themselves and their organizations from expensive legal problems by using state-of-the-art risk management techniques. Foster will also be available to meet one-on-one with attendees during the Meetings Quest trade show.
