Oakhurst, California (PRWEB) March 01, 2014

The many treasures and adventures of Yosemite National Park were brought to life outside park boundaries in Long Beach, California, February 8-9, 2014 at the annual Los Angeles Travel & Adventure Show. Visitors to the convention were treated to answers for every question they’ve ever had about the nation’s preeminent national park and its vibrant outlying year-round communities.

The travel show is the largest consumer travel show in the United States. Attendance this year was up 13% from 2013 at 32,181 including travel trade, travel agents, and press. This is the highest attendance in the travel show’s history.

Yosemite Sierra Visitors Bureau and its gateway partners were happy to host a pavilion at this year’s show that is second to none and were deservingly awarded the Best in Show – Regional Pavilion Award. The pavilion itself is a massive space which includes 12 booths, a rock climbing wall which is sponsored by the Yosemite/Mariposa County Tourism Bureau, and the stunning Tunnel View Photo-op Backdrop. “What a great year to win this award as it coincides with the 150th Anniversary of the Yosemite Grant Act of 1864, when President Lincoln designated the park the first publicly protected land in America,” said one participant in the event. “It’s great to work with these partners and nice to be a part of this amazing area with so much to do both inside and outside of Yosemite,” said Julie Fullmer of the Yosemite Sierra Visitors Bureau.
