Girl Scouts to Honor Women and Young Women of Distinction

Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia, Inc. announces the selection of five Women of Distinction and two Young Women of Distinction who have set an example of excellence and distinguished themselves through service to their community. A luncheon in their honor will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 20, 2014 at the Legends Club in Augusta. The annual event formally honors each female leader among her friends, family, peers and community. Tickets will be available for individual purchase for $40. Proceeds from the event help provide the Girl Scout Leadership Experience to area girls who will be our future Women of Distinction.
2014 Girl Scout Women of Distinction are:
Arts Category: Karen Gordon, Garden City Jazz
Business: Dr. Faye Hargrove, Hargrove Leadership Services
Government: Mary Davis, Augusta Richmond County Board of Commissioners
Community Service: Ann Boardman, public servant and Crystal Eskola, Department of Family and Children Services, Division of Human Services
2014 Young Women of Distinction:
Callie Meadows Memorial Award: Erin Delaney and Kathryn Santiago
