Hope For The Warriors® depends upon corporate support to execute its continued work with service members and military families. This week. Hope for the Warriors received a $75,000 grant from Altria, headquartered in Richmond, to support the nonprofit’s continued work with wounded service members and military families. This grant will support program work within Community & Military Relations, including Community Outreach, Family Support, and Military Culture Competency Training. Hope For The Warriors®, a national nonprofit organization that assists post-9/11 service members, their families, and families of the fallen who have sustained physical and psychological wounds in the line of duty.

“Altria is proud to be a supporter of Hope For The Warriors®. The employees of the Altria family of companies take pride in knowing Hope for the Warriors® pursuit of excellence continues to be about creating new possibilities and transforming a vision into action,” said Immanuel Sutherland, Sr. Specialist for Community Relations.

The Community & Military Relations pillar engages both military and civilian communities, uniting corporate and civil leaders, school districts, military agencies and more to work together with a shared goal of embracing the military families within their community. By developing relationships within the community—through both events and program work—Hope For The Warriors® can build a new, supportive community for the military family.

“Altria has been an impactful corporate partner of Hope For The Warriors® since 2006,” Robin Kelleher, Hope For The Warriors® president said. “The donation from Altria will help us successfully engage our communities, educate civilians about military culture, and integrate our military families back into their communities.”
