TORONTO, Oct. 12 /CNW/ - Public demonstrations are taking place across
Canada to denounce a ruling that has found alleged G20 protest
'ringleader' Alex Hundert in breach of his 'no-demonstration' bail
condition for speaking as an invited panellist at two university forums
in September 2010. Hundert has been in jail over the past month and a
new bail hearing is underway at the Scarborough Courthouse, 1911
Eglinton Avenue East. Decrying ongoing criminalization of dissent in
the post G20-period, activists in Toronto, Vancouver, Kitchener, and
Edmonton are protesting under the banner "This is what a public
demonstration looks like!" today.
