CareerBuilder and EMSI Release Fastest-Growing Temporary Jobs in Canada

TORONTO, May 2, 2013 /CNW/ - Are you looking for a temporary position? Are you just looking for a short-term summer job? CareerBuilder Canada and Economic Modeling Specialists International have released a list of occupations that are hiring temporary workers at an accelerated rate, in a variety of industries.

  • Information Systems Analysts and Consultants
    • Number of people employed: 1,777
    • Jobs added from 2010 to 2012: 541 – 44 percent growth
    • Median hourly wage: $34.83
  • Banking, Insurance, and Other Financial Clerks
    • Number of people employed: 540
    • Jobs added from 2010 to 2012: 163 – 43 percent growth
    • Median hourly wage: $17.32
  • Landscaping and Grounds Maintenance Labourers
    • Number of people employed: 1,369
    • Jobs added from 2010 to 2012: 399 – 41 percent growth
    • Median hourly wage: $14.52
  • Purchasing and Inventory Clerks
    • Number of people employed: 828
    • Jobs added from 2010 to 2012: 238 – 40 percent growth

  • Records Management and Filing Clerks
