Killer Nashville Claymore Award Offers Prizes, Prestige, and a Chance at Publication

>PRWEB.COM Newswire

Nashville, Tennessee (PRWEB) March 30, 2013

Killer Nashville’s Claymore Award offers aspiring authors more than $1,500 worth of prizes, plus a possible book advance and publication, plus possible agent representation.

Since its inception in 2009, the writing contest has led to publication for many authors and to agent representation for still more. As a direct result of entering the contest, Jonathan Stone, the author of last year’s winning manuscript signed with an agent and landed both a major publishing contract and a movie option.

Any author may enter (published or not); however, the literary contest is limited to the first 50 pages of unpublished crime fiction manuscripts not currently under contract.

Judges will consider any subgenre of mystery or thriller, including political thriller, cozy, legal, police procedural, private eye, romantic suspense, paranormal mystery, and historical mystery.

The winner will be announced at the awards ceremony during the Killer Nashville Guest of Honor dinner on the evening of Saturday, August 24, 2013.

Deadline for entry: June 1, 2013.

Killer Nashville, held annually on the fourth weekend in August, was created in 2006 by author/filmmaker Clay Stafford to bring together forensic experts, writers, and fans of crime and thriller literature. A truly international writers’ conference, the U.S. and three foreign countries have been represented by conference attendees.
