Connecticut Health Council to Host ‘The Politics of Health Policy’ with Scott Rasmussen

Hartford and New Haven, Conn. (February 28, 2013) – The Connecticut Health Council, an association of health sector leaders who work together to promote Connecticut as a premier center for the development of businesses, initiatives, and technology that improve health care and wellness both nationally and in the state, will host ‘The Politics of Health Policy’ with Scott Rasmussen on Friday, March 8th at the New Haven Lawn Club from 7:30-9:30a.m.
Founder and president of Rasmussen Reports, Scott Rasmussen is a political analyst, New York Times best-selling author, public speaker and independent public opinion pollster. ‘The Politics of Health Policy’ is the third event hosted by the Connecticut Health Council, which was formally launched in December 2012 to an audience of more than 400.
“The Council is delighted to host Scott and to learn his perspectives on the political context of health care reform, both locally and nationally,” said Oz Griebel, President and CEO, MetroHartford Alliance, which provides the operational support for the Council. “This event is also a great opportunity for New Haven and other southern Connecticut communities to learn about the Council and to become engaged with its work.”
The Council’s programming is designed to enhance the network of professionals across various components of the health sector, thereby increasing the number of people promoting the State’s significant inventory of health assets and resources.
