HCI to Return to Atlanta for Workforce Planning & Analytics Conference
(PRWEB) January 16, 2013
January 16, 2013 – The Human Capital Institute (HCI) will be hosting its 2013 HCI Workforce Planning & Analytics Conference at the Grand Hyatt Atlanta in Atlanta GA. This two-day event, taking place on February 6-7 with pre-conference workshops on February 5th, will present new trends and insights into the people and technology constituting today’s Strategic Workforce Planning landscape. HCI, the global organization global association for strategic talent management, returns to the Grand Hyatt Atlanta after last year’s successful Workforce Planning Conference at the same location.
Building on last year’s focus on the workforce plan and its implementation, this year’s event focuses on the planners themselves, and their tools, skills, and interactions with the organization at large. Whereas slow economic growth and a siphoning of talent might induce caution in other departments, workforce planners must attack the challenge head-on, grappling with talent shortages, low engagement, and inadequate technology. Alignment with an organization’s business strategy is an often-difficult, but essential goal for talent managers.
This year’s conference seeks to provide solutions in three major parts: Gaining Buy-in, which takes a look at aligning business and financial strategies; Talent Management and Upscaling, which focuses on role segmentation, identifying top performers, acquisition in workforce planning, and HR analytical skills; and Data, Analytics & Technology, regarding actionable data, data convergence and consolidation, and automating the talent lifecycle. Taking a deep dive into each of these three subjects, the 2013 HCI Workforce Planning & Analytics Conference hopes to provide attendees with take-away strategies to be implemented in their own organizations, as well as a new network of like-minded talent professionals to interact with and learn from.
HCI has lined up a roster of thought leaders and talent-minded thinkers to serve as keynotes for this event. Selected as the closing keynote is Bill Rasmussen, Founder of ESPN, whose presentation, “Build Entrepreneurial Capital and Foster Innovation”, will challenge every employee to become an entrepreneur no matter their position, as well as impart the story of how ESPN was conceived, funded and launched in only fourteen months.
Also scheduled to speak: Soren Kaplan, author and Managing Principal for InnovationPoint; Mayank Jain, Director, HR Analytics and Reporting for eBay; Russell Klosk, Workforce Planning Leader for Americas, HP; Robert Gibby, Ph.D, Global Leader of the Human Resources Research and Analytics Practice for Procter & Gamble; Lisa Sullivan, VP of Workforce Planning and Analytics for Pearson; Erika Duncan, VP of Human Resources for MetroHealth; Burgette Perkins, Senior HR Business Partner, Kimberly-Clark International; Larry Jacobson, Director of Technology Talent Acquisition for Vistaprint; Tracey Smith, Global Business Strategist for FedEx Corporation; Courtney Abraham, VP of Learning, Change and Talent Management for Winn-Dixie Stores; Karen Hilton, VP of HR for TRX, Inc.; David Eberhardt, Director of HR Strategy and Systems for Devon Energy Corp.; Jason George, HR Data, Reporting, and Analytics Manager for Devon Energy Corp.; Ellen Whittingham, Sr. Director of Business Effectiveness and Talent Management for Carmeuse Lime & Stone; Quinn Thompson, Director, Global Diversity and Talent Acquisition for International Paper Company; Liz Almeida, Workforce Planning and Analytics for Pearson; Bruce Morton, Chief Marketing Officer for Allegis Group Services; Ron Hetrick, Director of Market Research for Allegis Group Services; Mick Collins, Principal Consultant, Workforce Planning and Analytics for SuccessFactors; Peter Howes, Vice President of SuccessFactors; Jaye Tanner, Principal Consultant for SuccessFactors, Inc.; Peter Louch, Founder & CEO of Vemo inc.; and Glen Kallas, Managing Partner for Camden Delta Consulting.
