Volkswagen came up with a new ad to show people just how dangerous it is to use mobile technology while driving. There are spoilers below, so watch the video first.

, we watch a crowd of people in Hong Kong settling down in their seats in the cinema. The film starts. It is a actually a video being played by a location-based broadcaster within the cinema.
a car, traveling along a leafy road. People in the audience relax, some smiling, others sucking on their soda straws, some munching on their popcorn.
The location-based broadcaster has the capability to send a mass text to everyone in the room at once and that is what happens next.
Suddenly, all their cellphones come to life. Everyone in the audience immediately reaches for their phones, rapt and staring at those smaller screens.
On the big screen, there is a loud crash, as the driver of the car in the film has a serious road accident.
After watching the faces of the shocked audience, the following message appears on the screen:
"Mobile use is now the leading cause of death behind the wheel."
"A reminder to keep your eyes on the road."
