Ukraine MPs back reform giving more autonomy to pro-Russia east

Ukraine's parliament on Monday backed a first reading of draft constitutional reforms demanded by the West which grant greater autonomy to the eastern territories controlled by pro-Russian rebels.

A total of 265 lawmakers voted in favour of the reforms at a stormy session accompanied by protests both inside and outside the parliament.
