Putin and Poroshenko shake hands: Russian television

Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko on Wednesday briefly shook hands at the start of crunch peace talks in Minsk, in footage shown live on Russian state television.

The two leaders exchanged a very brief handshake after Poroshenko came up to Putin without smiling, following the start of the talks which also include French President Francois Hollande and German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
